Ahead of its Early Access launch, the Path of Exile 2 team has unveiled all twelve Ascendancies, which are the late-game skill paths for the various classes.
Shared on the official Forums, the previews are given by the PoE2 team as images showcasing each key art alongside an accompanying list of the Ascendancy’s abilities, including sidebars to explain actual skills/spells and terminology that may be new to or lost on players.
As it stands, there are two Ascendancies for each class, which are, in brief:
- Sorceress’s Stormweaver, a Thunder- and Ice-focused elemental class
- Sorceress’s Chronomancer, which toys with cooldowns and spell speeds, with some nifty time-bending abilities
- Warrior’s Titan, letting you leverage Slam abilities more powerfully
- Warrior’s Warbringer, a super-tank build that taps into Totems, Break Armor abilities and Block chances
- Ranger’s Deadeye, for players keen on quick, high-DPS ranged shooting and movement through Frenzy and movement speed
- Ranger’s Pathfinder, a debuff-focused ranged build
- Witch’s Blood Mage, a mix of Leeches, infinite Curse timers, and crits, where Mana skills also take Life and crits permit Overflow of max Life
- Witch’s Infernalist, a high-risk, low-Life build that swaps out Mana for Infernal Flame, converts damage types to Fire, and grants powerful fiery spells
- Mercenary’s Witchhunter, striking differently based on enemy HP and debuffs, including cooldown slows, and causing explosions and death at low enough health
- Mercenary’s Gemling Legionnaire, granting buffs based on the actual acts of Slotting and leveling
- Monk’s Invoker, at first granting more defensive/evasive abilities before tapping into extra Elemental damage
- Monk’s Acolyte of Chayula, starting off with defensive skills and eventually activating a status called Into The Breach for buff opportunities
Long story short, each Ascendancy has almost entirely unique quirks that will have players diving back in a few times to feel what toolkit works best for
