Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp will finally release on April 21, Nintendo has announced.
The remake of the much-loved Game Boy Advance strategy game was originally scheduled for release last year, but Nintendo delayed the release following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
However, one player who pre-ordered the game when it was initially for sale managed to get access and play it early.

According to the user, they had preloaded the game on the Nintendo Switch Lite prior to the game’s delay, and then, having not connected it to the internet since the preload, seemingly worked around Nintendo’s rescheduling, as the preload was no longer able to update to the new release date.
Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp will feature remade versions of the original Game Boy Advance strategy campaigns, “reimagined and rebuilt from the ground up”.
The original Advance Wars was released on the Game Boy Advance in 2001, and was developed by Intelligent Systems.
It tells the story of the nation of Orange Star, which finds itself embroiled in a war against its neighbouring faction, Blue Moon, and the subsequent involvement of nearby nations Yellow Comet and Green Earth.
