Abandoned Creator Accused Of Toxicity, Not Paying Workers, And Misleading Fans
Blue Box Game Studios' Abandoned is the Schrodinger's cat of video games. It simultaneously exists and doesn't exist until you do an exposé on the studio. That's precisely what a recent report by GameSpot has done – however, we learned much more than just about the elusive game, primarily regarding lead developer Hasan Kahraman. According to this report, about half a dozen people close to Kahraman have said that the game barely exists in a playable sense.

According to the report, whenever the game was scheduled to be showcased at a video game expo like Summer Games Fest or Future Games show, things would inevitably get delayed for Blue Box, and Kahraman was quick to blame anyone and everyone but himself.

As for the various leaks we've seen over the past few months, Kahraman reportedly curated a chatroom full of people with whom he'd share bits and pieces of information. The group was made to sign a vague NDA of sorts before it would receive any information, however, what the participants thought would be exclusive access, left them as clueless as those of us on the outside. Kahraman would constantly deny or refute any of the leaked information that he had shared with the group, leaving everyone confused about even the most basic premise of the game.
