The fantastic free-to-play anime RPG Genshin Impact is getting a major update. The Genshin Impact 2.8 update aims to give you more missions, areas and sleek summer swimsuits for your anime waifus and husbandos. Oh, there’s more as well? 

Announced in a press release, the next update for Genshin Impact releases in just over a week. Dubbed Summer Fantasia, the Genshin Impact 2.8 update will be a huge addition to the already massive game. 

Releasing on July 13th, 2022, Summer Fantasia adds more of, well, everything! In the gargantuan update developer miHoYo has added new areas to explore, new missions to complete, costumes to acquire and even a new character to play as. 

In the 2.8 patch, you’ll be able to explore brand-new islands in the Golden Apple Archipelago. All of the new areas are filled with unique puzzles to tease tickle your brain.

You’ll be able to explore the new locales with the new playable character: Shikanoin Heizou. For fans of swift and nimble fighters, he’ll be a perfect fit for your party! If you can pull him, of course.
