A character creator demo for Saints Row is available for download now.
The demo, titled Saints Row: Boss Hub, gives players access to the game’s extensive customisation suite, where they can create their own protagonist.
Once they’re happy with their character, players can then save them and upload them to the main game when it’s released.
Players can also share their created character via the Saints Row website and download other players’ creations.
By sharing their character online, players will receive two free helmets for use in the main game.
Players who register for a Saints Row account via the Boss Factory hub will also be given a free Marshall Rocket Launcher, which will be unlocked in the full game.
Publisher Deep Silver announced the Saints Row series reboot at Gamescom last August.
Simply titled Saints Row, the fifth game in the series is headed to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4 and PC via the Epic Games Store.
It sees players join a group of criminals named the Saints, who are trying to make it as a new crime syndicate in a south-western American region called Santo Ileso.
Saints Row was originally scheduled to arrive in February, but late last year its release date was delayed to August 23, 2022.
“Our priority is to create the best Saints Row game yet and, if we released on the original date, it wouldn’t be up to the standards we’ve set ourselves, and that you’re expecting and deserve,” Volition CCO Jim Boone said at the time.
“The team just need more time to do our vision justice – we’re doing some fine tuning and there won’t be much change in the game outside of overall quality and polish.”
