A treasure chest within the Kingdom Hearts themed Disney Ambassador hotel room in Tokyo contains a modified Oathkeeper and it has the community speculating about the next game in the series.
Last year, Tokyo Disney announced that the Kingdom Hearts hotel room was going to be made available again for the series 20th anniversary. The hotel room is themed around Kingdom Hearts and contains a treasure chest that looks straight out of Traverse Town. Advertising for the room teased that there would be a secret item within the chest, which many believed would just be a small trinket of some kind.

Thanks to aitaikimochi, who was able to visit the hotel room, we now know what was inside the treasure chest, and it's far more interesting than that. Although aitaikimochi wasn't able to take a picture of the contents of the chest, which are under embargo until April 22, she was able to describe what it looked like.
According to aitaikimochi, inside the treasure chest is a small Oathkeeper replica, the same shape and size as the Oblivion room key used to enter the hotel. Rather than being the Oathkeeper we know and love, this version has some key differences that are undeniably purposeful considering the sculpt quality of the key. The fact that the contents of the treasure chest are embargoed also imply that it's a purposeful choice.
The charm on this version of the Oathkeeper is blue on both sides, rather than blue and yellow, and doesn't have Sora's face etched onto it. In the centre of the charm is a gold circle. The rest of the Keyblade is the same as the original Oathkeeper, but it looks like it's removed references to Sora for some reason.
