European publisher 505 Games has shut its offices in France, Germany and Spain.
That's according to Gamereactor – spotted by Eurogamer – which says that the company has closed some of its offices in Western Europe.
505 Games has confirmed that this is part of a review process that was announced by its parent company, Digital Bros, in November 2023, but this also appears to be the first time that non-development staff have been affected by the changes. Workers impacted include those in marketing, comms and PR.
That aforementioned review said that 30 per cent of the company's workforce would be laid off.
"In order to prioritize high-quality and long-standing successful titles, Digital Bros has reconsidered the number of projects under development and as such, will review the organization structure accordingly to align with the evolving competitive environment in the medium to long-term to ensure maximum operational efficiency," Digital Bros said at the time.
"The restructuring program is expected to represent a reduction of approximately 30 per cent of the global workforce, with the predominant portion concentrated within the studios."
