The first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer will be revealed tomorrow, but some fans clearly can't wait. Even with a day to go until it drops, more than 40,000 people are waiting around on the Rockstar YouTube channel, waiting for the trailer's premiere.
At the time of writing, the exact number of fans waiting for the premiere is 46,307, and it's only rising. Maybe some of them are hoping that someone at Rockstar presses the wrong button and it goes live early, or perhaps they're just that excited for the reveal and don't want to risk missing it. Either way, it's safe to say that the reveal will amass a whole lot of views, as tens of thousands are already happy to just stare at the same graphic for a day.
The announcement post for the trailer has 1.9 million likes too, so it's fair to say that there's a bit of excitement going into this reveal.
While the trailer itself isn't live yet, Rockstar has set it up on YouTube to premiere on December 5, at 9am ET. Uploading it as a premiere is a little like running a livestream, allowing would-be viewers to wait in the lobby until the video goes live, watching it in real-time with everyone else who waited. It will also give the trailer a live chat function, forever immortalising the first impressions of everyone who tuned in.
As one of the many thousands who have joined the lobby out of curiosity, I can confirm that there is nothing to see here. We can't even use the live chat yet, so all you'd really be doing is staring at that image announcing the trailer date, which is probably etched into all of our minds by now.
