Though is amid an Anomaly DPS meta, Harumasa brings a combo-focused playstyle that works well if built correctly. Unfortunately, Attack units have fallen a bit to the wayside in ZZZ. Though he can still clear content, the recent flow of Anomaly units that seamlessly work together has propelled him to the top. While he is a free agent, Harumasa also has the misfortune of being released alongside Miyabi, who was highly anticipated and possibly the strongest character in the game.
Harumasa is a critical-focused unit that revolves around his enhanced dash attack. Upon using his fifth basic attack, EX Special, or when a teammate triggers an Anomaly, six Electro Quiver orbs will appear on the field. By using his aimed ranged attack, Harumasa can make these orbs attach to an enemy and mark them, stacking up to eight times. This marked enemy will then put Harumasa's dash attack into its special state, where he attacks with his swords and consumes two stacks with each attack to increase his damage and daze.
Like with all characters, Harumasa's best engine is his signature, Zanshin Herb Case. At base, this engine gives a 10% critical rate for free and another 10% for 15 seconds after anyone in the team stuns an enemy or triggers an Anomaly. It also gives 48% more critical damage when leveled to 60. Finally, it enhances the Electric damage of dash attacks by 40%.
The release date, characters, new areas, and what changes to expect in Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 are all detailed for anyone to check out if they want.
The second-best engine option for Harumasa is Soldier 11's signature, The Brimstone, one of 's best W-Engines. This is a simple engine, but provides all the buffs Harumasa needs. At level 60, it will give an extra 30% Attack, with an additional boost of up to 27% upon hitting basic attacks, dodge counters, or dash attacks. This engine does not offer the same level of specific buffs and ease as the signature but can work with minimal difference if Harumsa is built correctly.
