Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 Leaks: New Drive Discs Explained
As 1.4 approaches, more information has begun to leak, the most recent being about new Drive Discs. Excitement for 1.4 has continued to grow with the steady flow of new leaks. Two fantastic recent updates have also helped this in 1.2 and 1.3, which each added exciting new characters, content, and welcomed quality-of-life changes.
The most anticipated additions of 1.4 are the powerful new agents set to join the roster. The first is Harumasa, a lightning-fast Attack member of Section 6 who utilizes his bow and sword to deal damage. However, Miyabi, the fearless leader of Section 6, seems to be the more popular pick. This technically Ice Anomaly unit comes with 's first dual element damage in Frost which combines Ice and Fire to deal heavy Anomaly damage while also boosting her critical damage.
Due to credible leaker Flying Flame (shared by Reddit user ShinyLord), there's a first look at the two new Drive Discs and what they do. These new additions are called Astral Voice and Branch & Blade Song.
Astral Voice

When any team member enters the field through Quick Assist, the entire team gains 1 stack of Melody, stacking up to 3 times, lasting for X seconds. Repeated triggers refresh the duration. Each stack of Melody increases the DMG dealt by the Agent entering through Quick Assist by 8%. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
Branch & Blade Song

Increases ATK by 10%
4 Pieces
When Anomaly Mastery is greater than or equal to 115, the wearer's CRIT DMG is increased by 25%. When any team member applies Freeze or triggers Shatter on an enemy, the wearer's ATK is increased by 15% for 15 seconds.
Based on the designs and effects, these two sets are intended for Harumasa and Miyabi respectively. This has been a common trend in all HoYoverse games where sets are released to bolster the new characters, but these sets may just have other uses, albeit to a lesser degree.
