Google's YouTube platform is the latest to take action against streamer DrDisrespect.
In a statement to Kotaku, the company said that it was dropping the influencer from monetisation after he violated its "Creator Responsibility policy".
DrDisrespect has 4.7 million subscribers on YouTube.
This news comes after reports that DrDisrespect had been banned from Twitch in 2020 for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a minor. The streamer himself has more or less confirmed this in a statement himself.
“Our Creator Responsibility Guidelines are clear that if a creator’s off-platform behavior harms our users, employees, or ecosystem, we may take action to protect our community, including by suspending monetization,” a Google spokesperson wrote.
“While these behaviors are rare, they can cause widespread harm to the YouTube community, and potentially damage the trust among creators, users, and advertisers.”
