Paramount Network has officially renewed Yellowstone for an upcoming season 5. The Western drama starring Kevin Costner has grown from being a small series to one of the biggest hits on TV today. The fourth season, which premiered last November, garnered some of the highest ratings for any network show since The Walking Dead back in 2017.
Yellowstone follows Costner's John Dutton, the patriarch of the Dutton family that lives on a massive ranch in Montana. The Duttons must deal with family drama as well as conflicts with neighbors, like land developers and the nearby Broken Rock Indian Reservation, trying to encroach on their land. Yellowstone also stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, and more. Additionally, Taylor Sheridan's ranch drama has spawned a bigger franchise — prequel series 1883 already debuted, and there have been rumors that more shows in the Yellowstone universe are coming.
