Yale Home has launched a new collection of smart locks that are 30% smaller, offer more smart features, and are compatible with just about every other smart home device you can think of.
The collection is made up of four Assure Lock 2 smart locks(Opens in a new window), including the KeyPad Deadbolt, Touchscreen Deadbolt, Key-Free Keypad Deadbolt, and Key-Free Touchscreen Deadbolt. All of them include support for Bluetooth and Apple HomeKit out the box, and can be programmed using the Yale Access app. It's also possible to buy versions of the Assure Lock 2 with the a Wi-Fi Smart Module included for more connectivity options.
As well as removing the need to remember a key, these smart locks make it easy to set up unique entry codes for family, renters, or someone dropping off a package. DoorSense technology also means your door will always lock behind you, and there's a hands-free Auto-Unlock feature, too. You can even control access using your Apple Watch.
Later this year, Z-Wave Smart Modules will become available, allowing for easy integrations with Airbnb, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Philips Hue, Ring Alarm, and Samsung SmartThings. A Yale Matter Smart Module is also planned to be sold separately, which will add compatibility with the Matter smart home standard.
These smart locks range in price from $159.99 to $259.99. Both the Wi-Fi Smart module and the Matter Smart Modules will cost $79.99 each, and all of the new locks (and eventually all the modules) are available directly from the Yale Home online store(Opens in a new window).
