Called the Xiaomi Smart Speaker (IR Control), the device can control all smart devices as well as non-smart devices, thanks to its IR sensor.
The Xiaomi Smart Speaker (IR Control) comes at a price of Rs. 4,999, thereby making it among one of the more affordable smart home speakers to buy today. It will be available via Mi.com, Mi Homes, Flipkart. com and retail stores. As the name suggests, this is simply a smart speaker with a IR sensor control that can let you control conventional non-smart devices. The speaker is available in only a single black colour variant.
The Xiaomi Smart Speaker (IR Control) features an IR sensor that allows you to control all devices with an IR sensor. That means you will be able to control your AC, non-smart TV, and other conventional home appliances. Users will be able to use the on-board Google Assistant to control these products, and the setup process will be done via the Xiaomi Home app and Google Home app.
Other than that, the speaker has a 360-degree speaker setup for a surround sound experience. It also features a digital clock on its face. Users can also have basic controls with the top-mounted buttons for Play/Pause, Volume up, Volume down, Mute.
