Microsoft has announced that it will be holding an on Wednesday, October 25 to show off titles being developed by the gaming giant’s third-party partners. While the recently revealed showcase promises to give gamers a glimpse of some upcoming PC and Xbox titles, no Activision Blizzard games will be included at this year’s event.
Announced in a post on Xbox Wire, the Xbox Partner Preview is a new type of show for Microsoft. Unlike the company’s familiar Xbox Showcase events, which primarily focus on first-party titles coming to PC and Xbox consoles, the Xbox Partner Preview is designed to shine a spotlight on Microsoft’s third-party partners. Despite seemingly being a smaller affair than the company’s first-party showcases, the Xbox Partner Preview promises to be packed full of new information about upcoming PC and Xbox games, with the announcement revealing that over 20 minutes of trailers and gameplay footage will be shown off.
One of the most high-profile titles being shown off during the event is Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2. The long-awaited sequel to the psychological horror classic will receive a launch trailer at the Xbox Partner Preview ahead of the game’s release on October 27. Other highlights include new information about the in-game activities included in developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, as well as the first gameplay footage of Ark: Survival Ascended. The show is also slated to reveal information about new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in the coming months, though Microsoft hasn’t given any indication of what those games may be.
