Xbox has hit a momentous milestone in terms of unit sales. New data reveals the Xbox Series X|S has passed two million units sold in the UK after 128 weeks, 12 weeks faster than it took the Nintendo Switch to achieve the same.

Xbox Series X|S is now the eighth-fastest console to achieve two million in sales, just behind the original PlayStation and stablemates Xbox One and Xbox 360, which hit two million in sales after 104 weeks and 110 weeks, respectively.

Xbox Series X|S sales have generated £696 million in revenue for Microsoft, compared to £726 million from the Xbox One and £507 from the Xbox 360. Note that these figures are just after two million in sales and don't count the lifetime total sales of each console.
Nintendo's Wii remains the fastest-selling console in the UK, reaching two million in just 57 weeks. That's followed by the PS2 at 60 weeks and the PS4 at 75 weeks. The PS5 is tied with the PS3 in fourth place, reaching two million consoles sold after 98 weeks. The PS5 was initially the fastest-selling console in UK history, but supply chain issues stalled out those strong initial sales figures by early 2022, allowing Xbox and Nintendo to catch up.
