Microsoft has announced the second wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in October 2023, headlined by Dead Space, Like a Dragon Ishin, and F1 Manager 2023.
Revealed on Xbox Wire, the already-announced Like a Dragon: Ishin is available today, October 17. This Yakuza spin-off doesn't take place in the canonical modern story but instead reimagines its characters as samurai in a fictional version of 1860s Kyoto. IGN gave it a 7/10 in our review: "Like a Dragon: Ishin is an enjoyable and interesting spin-off from the Yakuza series, but not an essential one."
Here’s what’s coming next to Game Pass:
F1 Manager 2023 is the Formula 1 simulation game from Frontier Developments (which also announced a wave of lay-offs today) that promises rich and detailed management features, refined racing spectacle, deeper authenticity, and a brand-new mode that allows you to rewrite the season on your terms.
It earned an 8/10 in our review. "F1 Manager 2023 is a textbook definition of what a yearly game should be. It's not just a good racing sim, it's one of the best management games on the market today," IGN said.
Dead Space is the other heavy hitter for late October, with the remake of the beloved sci-fi spookapalooza arriving just in time for Halloween. Players can take on the role of simple ship engineer Isaac Clarke as he boards the USG Ishimura amid its infestation of spooky space bugs.
IGN gave this one a 9/10 in our review, saying: "Dead Space is a superb remake and undoubtedly the definitive way to experience one of the best survival horror shooters that Capcom never made."
