Compared to other months, it seems Xbox Game Pass may hit a dry spell at the end of this month. Microsoft revealed new Xbox Game Pass updates today, including the addition of Shadowrun Trilogy and Total War: Three New Kingdoms, but it didn’t announce anything else for June after the 23rd. Fans already know FIFA 22 and Naraka: Bladepoint are coming to the service then, but afterward, it’s a little empty.
It's uncertain if there’s something Xbox Game Pass is keeping any secret additions hidden, but it’s odd to see a full week of the month without any newly-confirmed games. It wouldn’t be as odd if Xbox Game Pass didn’t announce a new July game, but it did.
Xbox Game Pass Exists in the MCU
Coming to Xbox Game Pass on Cloud, Console, and PC on July 1 is Far Cry 5. Several Ubisoft games have been coming to Xbox Game Pass, slowly but surely, such asAssassin’s Creed Origins and For Honor. It’s no surprise to seeFar Cry 5 follow in their footsteps. As many know, players take on the role of a “deputy” in this game, where they try to foil the plans of Joseph Seed and his cult.Far Cry: New Dawn is a direct sequel, if also a spin-off, of this entry and Joseph Seed also appears in Far Cry 6’s DLC.
While the announcement today is a little bare-boned compared to the usual, there are still a few Game Pass titles already lined up for July. After Far Cry 5, Last Call BBS will release on July 5, Matchpoint: Tennis Championships on July 7, As Dusk Falls on July 19, and Immortality on July 26. The last three will be available for both console and July users.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers should also be aware that the service is losing a total of four games on June 30. FIFA 20, Jurassic World Evolution, Last Stop, and MotoGP 20 are all being removed
