World of Darkness has announced the next Vampire: The Masquerade streaming show will be New York By Night, the successor to L.A. By Night. Like Critical Role with Dungeons & Dragons, New York By Night is a streaming show involving people playing Vampire: The Masquerade, a tabletop RPG about vampires vying for power while trying to keep their existence a secret from humanity.
New York City is an important location in the lore of Vampire: The Masquerade, as it's the seat of power for many important institutions, most of which are under the control of the Kindred. The sprawling population also means it is easy for vampires to hide their existence while ensuring easy access to lots of blood. The different Kindred factions have battled for control over New York City in the past, with is currently being controlled by the Camarilla. The Vampire: The Masquerade — Coteries of New York and Vampire: The Masquerade — Shadows of New York are two recent video games offering a glimpse at the current state of Kindred politics in the famous city.
