Gamescom is just a few weeks away, and today, Xbox has announced the games it plans to bring to the biggest gaming convention in the world.
Xbox confirmed its attendance last month in stark contrast to rival Sony, which is skipping Gamescom this year. Now courtesy of a new post on Xbox Wire, we know that Xbox plans to host 36 stations at Gamescom. These stations will include first-party favorites such as Grounded, Sea of Thieves, and Microsoft Flight Simulator, but also playable demos of Pentiment and Age of Empires IV.

It’s also not just first-party games we’ll have a taste of. Xbox will also host booths for A Plague Tale: Requiem, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Gunfire Reborn, Inulinati, Last Case of Benedict Fox, Lies of P, Lightyear Frontier, Planet of Lana, and You Suck at Parking.
Announced at Summer Game Fest, Pentiment comes courtesy of Obsidian and represents a return to more classic narrative RPGs. Pentiment is, essentially, a historical murder mystery. You play as Journeyman artist Andreas Maler in 16th century Bavaria. A man was brutally murdered at your abbey and your friend and mentor is accused of the crime. It's up to you to solve the case and keep your friend free of the hangman's noose.
Pentiment arrives in November, but coming October 18 is A Plague Tale: Requiem. The sequel to 2019’s A Plague Tale: Innocence, Requiem picks up with Amicia and Hugo searching for a rumored island where they'll be safe from those who accuse them of witchcraft.
