Marvel fans have received some rather disappointing news regarding the long-awaited X-Men andFantastic Four reboots. It seems there's a good reason why the Fantastic Four cast wasn't announced at D23, and the X-Men film is a long way away.

Both properties were bought back by Marvel Studios, as X-Men and Fantastic Four were previously under Fox Studios' helm. After Fox was acquired by Disney, Marvel fans rejoiced because they would now be able to see the Avengers on the same screen as the X-Men and the Fantastic Four for the first time in live-action history. However, fans were taken aback once it was revealed earlier that Marvel Studios was in no rush to bring in the X-Men or Fantastic Four. This, however, hasn't stopped Marvel Studios from acquiring the pieces necessary to make their move.
