2K Sports has released a new trailer for WWE 2K23, showing the WarGames mode in action.
WarGames will offer 3v3 and 4v4 matches in the unique WarGames structure, consisting of two rings side-by-side inside a steel cage.
The trailer also shows glimpses of various other WWE superstars, including the Bloodline, Cody Rhodes, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Logan Paul and pre-order celebrity fighter Bad Bunny.
It also confirms some of the returning legendary wrestlers, including Macho Man Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.
2K annnounced last week that WWE 2K23 will release for consoles and PC on March 17, with those who purchase premium versions gaining access three days earlier on March 14.
WWE 2K23 will be released in four separate editions:
The game will feature a Showcase mode starring John Cena, which will span 20 years of his career and will be narrated by Cena himself.
Other new features include online multiplayer in MyFaction and an enhanced MyGM mode with new show options and new GMs to choose from.
In VGC’s WWE 2K22 review we called it the “comeback fans have been praying for”, and said that the “in-ring gameplay […] is such an enormous improvement over its predecessor that the sighs of relief from the fanbase will be palpable.”
