The full launch roster for has been revealed, just over a month out from its March 17, 2023 release date. The updated roster includes every single character that will be playable when the game launches.
As is usually the case for yearly installments of WWE-based games, incorporates a number of fresh faces to match the promotion's ever-changing roster. previews promise an improved experience to older titles in the franchise though and the game will also include some returning fan favorites who skipped previous games.

The game includes 30 new wrestlers, some of whom are making their debuts while others are returning to . Reggaeton artist Bad Bunny will debut in the franchise as a pre-order bonus, following his in-ring debut at the 2021 Royal Rumble. Pro wrestling legend Bruno Sammartino will make his first appearance in the franchise since. The Bella Twins will also return in, following the end to their three-year hiatus from wrestling. Cody Rhodes will also appear in, having returned to the WWE after his stint in AEW. Some wrestlers who have left WWE and signed with different promotions since will not appear in, including Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, and Sasha Banks.
Although this roster is complete for launch, many new faces will likely be added after release to ensure playing remains a fresh and fun experience. Players will probably have to wait for DLC to learn just how many wrestlers will be playable in .
