Alchemy is a primary crafting profession in World of Warcraft. Alchemists craft powerful Healing Potions, Mana Potions,andFlasks often required in end-game content. The latest re-released expansion Wrath of the Lich King (Wotlk) increases the level cap of professions from 375 to 450. Players getting ready to level Alchemy know that it can be a great way to make gold with a constant demand of potions, flasks, and transmutations.
There's always something unique about each profession and Alchemy is no exception. Alchemist Stones are trinkets that only Alchemy players can use, allowing increased potion effectiveness.
Alchemy is often paired with Herbalism as a second profession. Herbalism is a gathering profession that provides many of the required materials for Alchemy recipes.
This guide is intended to help level Alchemy from level 1 all the way to 450 in the most efficient way possible.
There are 3 specializations that players can select upon reaching level 325 in Alchemy. They are Potions Master, Elixir Master, and Transmutation Master. Players must complete a quest to choose their specialization.
Players can only have one specialization at a time, they can however change their specialization for a small fee of 150g. Players must visit the quest giver for their current specialization to unlearn it, then speak with any of the other trainers without having to complete the associated quest.

It's highly recommended to have Herbalism as a second primary profession or alternatively, have another character with it. If you have the gold to spare you can purchase all of those items from other players.
