An upcoming World of Warcraft update will finally allow Alliance and Horde players to join together and cooperate on specific content. Blizzard Entertainment's massively multiplayer online role-playing game splits players into two rival factions, with each eternally hostile towards the other. This faction warfare has also been adopted by other games, with Hearthstone using World of Warcraft's Alliance and Horde system to draw the playerbase into a bitter rivalry.
Despite launching back in 2004, World of Warcraft continues to receive support from Blizzard which ranges from small updates to massive expansions. The MMORPG's Shadowlands update launched in 2020, introducing players to a brand-new eerie underworld region. The release of Shadowlands also introduced a «level squish,» reducing players' level in order to accommodate future level cap increases. The Shadowlands area offer a robust selection of dungeons and raids, with additional updates continuing to improve and expand the region with new content. February 2020's Chains of Dominion patch added a new location and a new raid to the experience, and World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' upcoming Eternity's End patch will conclude the current version of the game.
