The rapid pace at which playersuncovered all of the secrets in World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery wasn’t too surprising. The community is dedicated, so it was only a matter of time. Blizzard is shedding some light on the overall stats overall, with a new video detailing the adventures so far.
In the first week, people made 4,535,307 characters. To compare, the video adds, about 250 people are born every minute. That 4.5 million number represents 450 new characters per minute. Once they’ve arrived in Azeroth, there are things to do, runes to find, skills to master, and even more.
When it comes to runes,there are more than 100 between all nine classes, with new abilities to try out from each one you find. So far, everyone has collected more than 10.2 million of them. However, some particularly resourceful folks have collected all 12 runes for their class. From all the chests they opened, drops received, and more, this represents 0.09% of characters that have completed the collection.
As far as builds go, the video also breaks this down by the numbers. There are 500,960 Warlocks, 305,731 Shamans, 473,619 Rogues, and 627,156 Mages. Leaving out level 1s to account for bank alts and name reservations, they estimate that 44.4% of characters played could actually fill a completely new role, allowing for better grouping and more diverse play. Maybe a few clutch victories as well.
Speaking of victories, they also announced the number of PVP deaths that have been recorded in Ashenvale. At the time of the videos release, the Horde was leading with 2,064,975 kills and the Alliance had 1,827,783. Of course, these numbers have since changed, and it's all up for grabs at all times.
