Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the latest action role-playing game developed by Team NINJA released last month on PC and consoles, has now sold over 1 million copies and reached quite a few more, publisher Koei Tecmo announced today.
With a new tweet and celebratory image, the Japanese publisher confirmed not only the sale milestone but also the game reaching over 3.8 million players since launch thanks to the inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass library at launch. While the second entry in the Nioh series managed to sell 1 million copies in less time, it's still an amazing result that shows how the masocore games by Team NINJA are becoming more and more popular.

With Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Team NINJA proved it is possible to make a slightly more accessible experience without taking away what makes their masocore games so engaging, providing a variety of gameplay mechanics that players can use to make the experience as challenging as they wish. More of these options were added with patch 1.06 earlier this month, as it has become possible since the patch went live to set a maximum Morale Rank for all missions, letting players set a lot maximum rank to enjoy a high challenge level. The patch also introduced a variety of other tweaks and fixes that improved the experience considerably.
While the game is indeed more accessible, the bigger focus on action than role-playing game
