Recently, President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige shared his thoughts on a Ghost Rider adaptation with Ryan Gosling at the center of it. As Marvel Studios continues to release new, exciting projects, more and more actors have been sharing their interest in joining the MCU, including Gosling. Though the actor was previously shrouded in Marvel rumors that had him cast as the MCU’s Nova, Gosling shot those down. While Gosling has yet to make an appearance in the MCU, he was quick to assure that he would love to be a part of a Marvel project, offering up an alternate character option: Ghost Rider.
Produced by Sony Pictures, Ghost Rider made his first live-action appearance with the Johnny Blaze version portrayed by Nicolas Cage in 2007 and 2011. After gaining the rights back, Ghost Rider popped up in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes, although both versions of the character have a shaky presence within the MCU. In more recent years, there have been rumors suggesting that Ghost Rider would be adapted yet again, however, there was nothing officially confirmed, and audiences have yet to see The Spirit of Vengeance show up again.
