Though none of the cast or crew of Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One was around for Paramount's presentation at CinemaCon on Thursday, attendees were treated to quite a surprise anyway: a 20-minute chunk of the movie.

The sequence began with Hayley Atwell's character, Grace, being held in a police interrogation room and questioned about her identity. She claims to be a school teacher. (She isn't.) Fortunately for her, Ethan Hunt is pretending to be her lawyer, and is gonna break her out.
But there's also a bad guy on the prowl. Esai Morales, who plays the main villain of the film as far as we know, is pretending to be an Interpol officer, trying to get a key he thinks Grace might have had when she was arrested, and generally being scary and threatening.

It's a classic sort of car chase for the franchise, which means Ethan and Grace are handcuffed to each other for much of it, and they go through a remarkable number of different vehicles, from a police motorcycle to a police car to a tiny, suped-up Fiat. A funny choice, considering Klementieff's character is driving a large SUV. But that's intentional--the chase is jokier than you might expect from this franchise, like when both our heroes and their pursuers go flying down a long flight of steps.
Unfortunately, the presentation ended
