The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 narrative features some major returning characters, and one of the most recognizable is Nia, a protagonist from the prior entry in the series and the basis in appearance for Mio. Nia's appearance in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 raises a lot of questions for long-time followers of the series, but the game does set the table for how she returns — alongside some precedent for future reunions, also.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 features a long, winding story that marries some of the concepts of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 together. Eventually, the player meets the Queen of Agnus, one of the two perpetually warring factions on the world of Aionios.
