Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's latest trailer included plenty of relevant information regarding Gen 9 games and the region of Paldea, including the already teased three major storylines and three new Pokemon. The storylines are an important part of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet because the Gen 9 games are built in a way that allows players to tackle content as they please, order-wise. Although one of the paths is the more traditional Gym Challenge, Generation 9 seemingly adds a questline that is all about the newly introduced Team Star, and another series of missions to search for a rare ingredient called Herba Mystica, which is found in the lairs of Titan Pokemon.
One of the Titan Pokemon in Gen 9 is Klawf, a Rock-type crab whose habitat seems to be a deserted area in Paldea. Klawf was revealed in the fifth trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet alongside Armarouge and Ceruledge, which are version-exclusive critters that share a pre-evolution. Design-wise, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet may have gone overboard with Armarouge and Ceruledge, as they look more like Mega Man characters than Pokemon, as many fans have pointed out. Still, the two seem to already be quite popular, and it's worth exploring the reasons why Ceruledge is going to be better than Armarouge in many ways.
