The Flash actor Michael Keaton explains why he hasn't seen a full Marvel or DC movie. Keaton famously played the character of Bruce Wayne/Batman for director Tim Burton's Batman in 1989, as well as the follow-up, Batman Returns in 1992. He left the role prior to the planned third sequel, which became Batman Forever, replaced by Val Kilmer in the role, with Joel Schumacher stepping in for Burton.
Keaton is now set to return to the role of Batman in next year's The Flash, starring Ezra Miller in the titular role, along with other returning DC stars reprising their roles, including Ben Affleck as Batman, Michael Shannon as General Zod, and Antje Traue as Faora. Keaton has also recently joined the MCU, playing Adrian Toomes/Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, as well as making an appearance as the character in Sony's Morbius. Keaton is also donning the cape and cowl again for HBO Max's Batgirl film starring Leslie Grace.
