The Book of Boba Fett episode 5 stars Din Djarin and reveals that the beskar spear he acquired in The Mandalorian season 2 is capable of piercing a Mandalorian suit of beskar armor, something that even a lightsaber can’t do. Originally belonging to the Imperial Morgan Elsbeth, a spear of beskar was offered to Djarin in exchange for killing Ahsoka Tano, but it was later used by Elsbeth in a duel against the former padawan. Following Elsbeth’s defeat, Djarin acquired the spear and defeated Moff Gideon with it. The weapon wasn’t shown being used against Mandalorian armor, but its imperviousness to lightsaber blades was shown repeatedly.
Beskar is a unique metal from the Mandalorian homeworld of Mandalore. The metal was rare and highly sought-after, with Mandalorians forging their iconic armor out of beskar. The material likely has some connection to the Force, as it’s invulnerable to the blades of lightsabers, which are connected to the Force or, in the case of red-bladed lightsabers, its dark side. Though extremely durable, beskar is not completely invulnerable.

Throughout the Star Wars franchise, beskar is extremely blaster-resistant, though there are some exceptions to this. The Mandalorian and Death Watch warriors in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels are shown being killed by single blaster bolts, which penetrate their beskar armor.
