Warning! SPOILERS for The Batman.
In The Batman, Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight doesn't kill, but he does almost kill one of Riddler's goons in a fit of rage. As the man lies there, unmasked and beaten to a pulp, he whispers, «I'm vengeance.» For Batman, hearing his own catchphrase come out of the goon's mouth is clearly unsettling, so who is this man?
The moment in question comes at the end of The Batman, while Riddler's terrorist army is attempting to kill the newly elected mayor. Batman engages with snipers who've positioned themselves in the rafters of the arena, defeating most of them but taking quite the beating in the process. Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz) comes to his aide, but when she's endangered, Batman rallies by injecting himself with a green vial that gives him incredible strength. He saves Catwoman and proceeds to beat the Riddler goon senseless. Catwoman and Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) intervene before he can go too far, and Batman is taken aback when he sees the man's face and recognizes him.
