Created by Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze, and Jeff Tremaine, Jackass is a reality stunt comedy TV series that aired for three seasons on MTV, debuting in 2000 and coming to an end in 2002.
Although it aired for a short time, Jackass made way for a popular and profitable franchise that continues to be active and is now celebrating the release of its newest movie, Jackass Forever. Jackass has a simple premise that has proven to be quite effective as it has kept the audience entertained for years: Knoxville and company (Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, and more) carry out a variety of stunts and pranks on each other or the public, and they know no limits nor do they care about the pain and potentially life-threatening injuries that will come with all these activities.
