The critically acclaimed What Remains of Edith Finch has been rated for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
While not officially announced for release on additional platforms, the game has been classified for the new-gen consoles by the Taiwanese ratings board (via Twisted Voxel).
If the game is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, it could be confirmed when its publisher, Annapurna Interactive, hosts a product showcase on July 28, for which it has teased “reveals, announcements, and much more”.
What Remains of Edith Finch is the second and most recent game from California-based indie studio Giant Sparrow, which also developed 2012’s The Unfinished Swan.
It’s a single-player narrative adventure game consisting of a collection of short stories about a cursed family in Washington State.
Played from a first-person perspective, it sees players explore the history of Finch’s family as she attempts to figure out why she’s the last Finch left alive.
What Remains of Edith Finch was released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2017, and for Nintendo Switch in 2019.
It won a string of high-profile awards including BAFTA’s Best Game 2018, and Best Narrative at both the 2018 Game Developers Choice Awards and The Game Awards 2017.
