Halo Infinite launched in November 2021 and quickly became the biggest Halo launch of all time thanks to Xbox Game Pass and the multiplayer element being free, but many remarked that developer 343 did not deliver enough compelling content on a regular basis to keep players engaged. With Season 4 coming up soon, the studio believes it's now hitting its stride with plans to continue to grow and improve with future seasons.
343 head of live service Sean Baron said in an interview with Microsoft's own Xbox Wire that the team is proud that Season 4 will launch on time.

«You know the saying--Once is chance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is a pattern.' I think that's where we are now--we're seeing the outcome of the focus on consistency,» Baron said. «And I couldn't be more excited for the team getting there. We still have plenty of room to improve--we'll always be working to find new ways of improving and ensuring the predictability of the service. But I'm very happy with the progress we've made there and looking forward to making it four in a row with Season 5 later this year.»
Baron went on to say that 343 believes there are three key pillars to making Halo Infinite everything it can be, and these include consistency, satisfaction, and quality. For consistency, Baron said 343 has already shown improvement in that department with the newest seasons launching on time. For satisfaction, Baron said 343 will continue to add more «features and experiences»
