What Class Should You Invest Time Into During Diablo 4 Season 3?
During the recent Diablo 4 Season 3 Developer Update Livestream players were given a glimpse of the upcoming Unique items, seasonal Mechanic, and quality-of-life improvements coming in Season of the Construct. However, one of the biggest topics of discussion was the upcoming Class Balance changes and the philosophy behind how these changes will be handled in the future. As Blizzard said during the Livestream — stonks are up, so let's take a look at some buffs and nerfs!
Diablo 4 Season 3 Overview Season of the Construct Launch
Please note that these preliminary assessments are based solely on what was shared as a part of the recent Diablo 4 Season 3 Developer Update Livestream, and much of this can change once Season of the Construct Patch Notes go live on January 19th.
Barbarian
Buy
- is receiving a damage buff. This is good since players may want to use more movement abilities in Vaults.
- Several Key Passives, such as will be receiving buffs. This could shake up the meta to allow more versatility.
Sell
- Shouts will be adjusted to make them less of a requirement. This could also allow for more versatility in Barbarian builds, but keep a close eye on this, as Blizzard may nerf these Skills too far.
- will have a lower proc chance, which will overall nerf HotA Barb.
Overall Outlook: Bullish
Although Shouts may be less effective, Barbarians appear to be mostly evading the nerf hammer.
Sorcerer
Buy
- will now cause the Vulnerable status effect upon Critically Striking an enemy.
- will be buffed, which could be useful in the Vaults and against Malphas.
- is receiving an update to compliment the new Unique item — Starfall Coronet.
Sell
- The developers have stated that is actually bugged. So although many of us had a great time with this build in Season of Blood, we should not expect the same level of power during Season of the Construct.
Overall Outlook: Bullish
While may be missed, the developers are buffing many other Skills to give Sorc players
