There's been snow this week in the UK, as this insufferable, never-ending winter lurches on. At least the release calendar continues to be hot, with many different games to choose from these days.
I always liked the visual style of the outdoor Biomes in Dead Cells, so the Castle's Outskirts opening area for the Return to Castlevania feels even more epic with a reimagined version of the Vampire Killer tune playing.
I've put the Persona 3 Portable Platinum hunt on ice for now in favour of Octopath Traveler 2, which has captured me entirely although admittedly on Steam Deck. My first impressions are this is a Persona 5-tier JRPG in terms of presentation, and can't wait to put some more time in!
My review season is over (for now, at least), so I'm at a bit of a loose end. There's no question I need to replay Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4 before Trails into Reverie arrives in the summer, but I'm struggling to find the motivation. Actually starting something is usually the hardest part!
I finally started my Hogwarts Legacy playthrough, which I'm thoroughly enjoying. Aside from that, I'll be spending my time on more PSVR2 games.
I'll mostly be playing something for a review that I can't talk about here, but it's very exciting. Other than that I'll be dipping into the Resident Evil 4 demo to get my head blasted off by Dr Salvatore and the Dead Cells Return to Castlevania DLC where Mr Dead Cellington's head is already off. Opposites attract.
I’ve had a lot of reviews to do lately, and I’m not done yet. I can’t really divulge what they are, but you can look forward to those later in the month. I’m really looking forward to getting started on Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty once all that’s done, though.
