The Old West-inspired social deduction game West Hunt looks like a cowboy version of Among Us. Released in 2018, indie developer Innersloth's Among Us challenges players to find the imposters among the crew mates before time runs out. The space-themed online multiplayer game gained attention in 2020 thanks to well-known Twitch and YouTube streamers, and West Hunt looks like a great options for fans of the sleuthing genre.
With its sudden boom in popularity during the early days of the COVID pandemic, Among Us has inspired other studios to join in on the relatively new social deduction genre. For example, developer VestGames adds a fantasy twist to its Among Us-style social deduction game Eville. Like Among Us, players in Eville must determine which players have the role of conspirators, whose objective is to take control of the village. Now, a new social deduction title with a Wild West slant is coming out.

Publisher Wandering Wizard's Among Us-style social deduction game West Hunt debuts today on Steam Early Access. In a small village in the Old West, trouble-causing outlaws run rampant as law-abiding sheriffs attempt to catch them. Players are assigned either the role of the outlaw or sheriff and play a game of cat-and-mouse. Outlaws must complete various tasks before time runs out--in a similar vein to Among Us' imposters. Players that are assigned the role of the sheriff are tasked with catching the outlaws before they complete their tasks. The trailer for West Hunt can be viewed below.
