Kim Plath will shock Welcome to Plathvillefans when she decides to have a heart-to-heart with Lydia Plath about the divorce. Viewers don't feel that Kim should be sharing such private information with her children about their father, Barry Plath. But it looks like Kim needs an outlet, and the job has landed on Lydia.
Lydia has always done exactly what her mother and father have asked of her. From cooking all the family meals to cleaning the house, Lydia has been an extremely obedient child. For the most part, Lydia has always taken her mother's side, especially when it came to arguments with her siblings. However, in recent months, Lydia seems to be trying to escape her solitary life and grow. Kim is also growing, as fans saw she changed her dress attire and is looking to leave Barry. While it is nice to see the mother and daughter bond, it is unclear how Lydia will be able to help her mother cope.

This week, Kim finally catches up with her daughter as they decide to look through some old photo albums. Kim notes to the cameras that the conversation will be the «most difficult» she has ever had with her daughter. Kim goes on to tell fans that she and Barry taught Lydia that marriage was forever, saying, «And now we're tweaking that a little bit.» Lydia tries to take the high ground as she asks her mother to take some time before coming to a final decision.
