The first trailer for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story reveals Daniel Radcliffe performing on stage as the famed satirical singer. Radcliffe plays Weird Al in the Roku Original film, which is directed by Eric Appel, who originally made the 2010 short that inspired the feature-length version. In addition to Radcliffe, the film stars Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna, Rain Wilson as Dr. Demento, Julianne Nicholson as Mary Yankovic, and James Preston Rogers as Hulk Hogan (with more surprise appearances surely in store).
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story was filmed in just 18 days, which had Radcliffe learning the accordion from the real Weird Al and calling the entire experience "insane." Radcliffe previously said that «wearing the Hawaiian shirt is a huge responsibility» which he didn't take lightly. Yankovic made a career of parodying big-name musicians, such as Michael Jackson, Eminem, and Madonna, with hilarious music videos that often became as big of a hit as the actual songs he was satirizing. The musician is also a well-known voice actor, working on projects such as Pete the Cat, American Dad!, andBojack Horseman.

Now, Roku has shared the first trailer for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, which looks to be anything but a standard-issue biopic. Radcliffe is seen for the first time on stage and performing, as well as high-fiving, break dancing, battling in what appears to be a sushi restaurant, and looking for every opportunity to use an accordion. It looks to be exactly the kind of biopic you'd want for Weird Al and Radcliffe appears to have had a blast portraying him. Take a look at the trailer below:
