Jenna Ortega is woefully inviting audiences to watch the first Wednesday teaser trailer revealing the first look at her Addams Family character. The supernatural comedy will center on the titular Addams daughter as she heads to Nevermore Academy to navigate the troubles of high school and get a handle on her psychic powers. Shortly after arriving, Wednesday also learns of a monstrous killing spree occurring in the neighboring town and discovers a supernatural mystery with ties to her family.
Scream star Jenna Ortega is leading the cast of Wednesday alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Thora Birch, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Gwendoline Christie and Percy Hynes White. Development on the Addams Family series was first announced in late 2020 when Tim Burton signed on to direct an unnamed project based on the cartoon franchise, later revealed to be the Netflix show with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar attached as showrunners and executive producers with Burton. Wednesday would officially begin filming in late 2021 and now audiences are getting a little tease of what's to come from the series.
