With Space Force season 2 premiering in just under a month, Netflix's new trailer for the show opens by reminding fans of Naird's reputation. «It's been suggested that you are unstable, incompetent, fragile, eccentric, indecisive, and potentially treasonous,» Naird is told in the opening seconds of the trailer, prompting him to respond with snarky humor. What follows is a series of comedic moments from the new season as Naird and his team are informed they have only five months to prove Space Force's worth to a new President of the United States. Naird is then told that should they fail to accomplish this task, he will find himself being replaced by a new commander.
