Call of Duty Warzone’s latest update has enabled lootable perks on the battle royale game’s new map, Fortune’s Keep.
The update (see full patch notes below) also includes various bug fixes and weapons adjustments.
On the bug front, it fixes some collision issues players have been able to exploit to gain an unfair advantage on Caldera.
It also targets an issue that was enabling players to exploit Black Market Buy Stations to access out of bounds areas, and an issue that was causing the F Zombie to T-pose.
Activision is now running a maximum double XP event in Warzone and Call of Duty Vanguard through July 5. Between now and then, all players get double earn rates for regular, weapon, operator, battle pass and clan XP.
Vanguard and Warzone Season 4, Mercenaries of Fortune, launched last week.
Headlining Warzone’s Season 4 update is new Resurgence battle royale map Fortune’s Keep. Developed by High Moon Studios, the island features cobblestone alleyways and flat rooftops inspired by Mediterranean villages, a medieval fortress, and a cove with twisting sea caves to explore.
Updates to Caldera include reducing the vegetation on the island by 50%, resulting in improved visibility, and the addition of Storage Zone, the complex that previously appeared in Warzone’s original Verdansk map.
Activision recently announced that Warzone 2.0 will launch later this year, soon after Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2’s release on October 28.
Featuring “a new sandbox mode” and a “brand-new playspace”, Warzone 2.0 will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam.
The original Warzone will continue as a separate experience when Warzone 2.0 launches.
