Warner Bros. Games has opened sign-ups for an upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 online stress test.
“The purpose is to deliberately stress our online infrastructure and identify potential issues ahead of the game’s launch,” the company said in an FAQ.
The test will be available in North America, Latin America, Brazil and Europe.
A date for the test has yet to be confirmed, but players with a Warner Bros. Games account can register here for a chance to participate.
The online stress test will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S only, as will the game’s separate beta test.

It will support 1 vs. 1 online multiplayer and a limited single-player Klassic Towers mode against AI opponents.
Players who pre-order the game for PS5 or Xbox Series X/S will receive access to the beta test, which is scheduled to take place in August.
NetherRealm is developing the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game and overseeing development of the PC and Nintendo Switch versions, which are being handled by QLOC and Shiver Entertainment / Saber Interactive respectively.
Announced earlier this month and set for release on September 19, the game “will introduce a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe that has been created by the Fire God Liu Kang, featuring reimagined versions of iconic characters as they’ve never been seen before”.
Players who buy Mortal Kombat 1’s Premium Edition or Kollector’s Edition will get early access to the game beginning on September 14.
These two editions of the game also include a Kombat Pack offering early access to six new playable characters, which have yet to be announced but have seemingly been leaked by Amazon.
