VR-Focused Studio nDreams Eyes New-Gen PSVR2 Projects With $35 Million Investment
PSVR2 was announced at the beginning of the year and it has caused a stir among the VR community. While the platform still remains relatively niche, these pandemic years have seen a surge in their popularity with the Oculus Quest 2 seeing a particular boost in sales. But as Sony's next-gen VR headset has been revealed, it has developers excited.
As spotted by PushSquare, one VR insider has said that developers for the platform are "more excited to make their games for PSVR2 than any other upcoming head-mounted display". Meanwhile, VR specialists nDreams has PSVR2 titles in development and has received funding for its projects.

UK-based nDreams started off by making content for PlayStation Home, a "virtual world experience" on the PS3 that was shut down in April 2015, and even one of the very first augmented reality games in Xi (thanks again, PushSquare!). The developer has since transformed into something of a PSVR specialist, with games such as Fracked and Assembly.
Fracked had players shooting, climbing, and skiing in a wild combination of extreme sports and gunplay, while Assembly was a dark and mature "long-form" VR game. Since the PS5 will be supporting the more powerful and capable PSVR2, nDreams will be turning its attentions to the new-gen headset, especially as it has secured a $35 million investment.
