WandaVision proved to be a big hit when it premiered on the Disney+ streaming service early last year. Week to week, fans were coming up with theories to explain the strange goings-on in the show, with many praising it as one of the most unique and original MCU entries to date. However, a new video claims that WandaVision may not be quite as original as it seemed on the surface, accusing the series of ripping off the plot of Pokemon 3: The Movie.
Pokemon 3: The Movie was the third feature-length Pokemon film. The plot saw a young girl named Molly, whose father mysteriously disappears. Molly comes in contact with Unown, who use their abilities to «help» Molly by encasing her home and the town of Greenfield in crystal. The Unown also help Molly deal with the grief of her father's disappearance (in reality he was transported to another dimension while researching the Unown) by creating an Entei for her.

The video, uploaded by TikTok user nerdshype, points out that this plot has many similarities to WandaVision. Equating Molly to Wanda, nerdshype points out that WandaVision sees the town of Westview cut off from the outside world in a manner not unlike what happens to Greenfield in Pokemon 3: The Movie, albeit with a magic forcefield instead of crystal. Wanda and Molly are both dealing with grief, with Wanda «resurrecting» her dead husband Vision, which nerdshype equates to Molly's father being represented by Entei. Nerdshype goes as far as to point how Molly communicates with the outside world using a TV, not unlike how Wanda communicates with SWORD in the series.
