The alien entity and symbiotic Spider-Man character known as Venom has an iconic costume design that fans know and love, and now in a comic given out in shops during this year’s Free Comic Book Day celebrations, this anti-hero gets a perfect reimagining on a cosmic scale!
Shown off inside the pages of FCBD: Spider-Man/Venom #1, the Venom-centric story titled “Seven Seal” by Ram V, Al Ewing, and Stefano Raffaele, follows the original host of Venom, Eddie Brock, and his more recently introduced son, Dylan. Recently losing his life in the opening issues of his relaunched Venom series, Eddie is now trapped in the empty void that is the Symbiote Hive-Mind and is doing whatever he can to reach the real world to get back into the swing of things as Marvel’s Lethal Protector.

Set sometime in the future, Eddie is shown glimpses of an on-the-run Dylan who's keeping the family business going as best he can as the current host of Venom. Going on to ponder what it would take to stop the newly revealed foe named Meridius from fulfilling his evil plans, Eddie believes the only way he can beat Meridius is if he joins forces with Dylan and his attached alien goo entity, a comment that immediately leads to a tease for an upcoming symbiote design that goes all-in on the cosmic factor.
Admitting that he would go “to the end of the world” to reunite with his family, the following page gives fans a double spread of Venom goodness as it depicts the opening salvo in what seems to be an upcoming symbiote war.
