Activision has released Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Season 4.
To coincide with the launch of Season 4: Mercenaries of Fortune, Vanguard developer Sledgehammer and Warzone studio Raven have released the patch notes for their latest game updates, which we’ve republished in full below.
Headlining Warzone’s Season 4 update is a new Resurgence battle royale map called Fortune’s Keep. Developed by High Moon Studios, the island features cobblestone alleyways and flat rooftops inspired by Mediterranean villages, a medieval fortress, and a cove with twisting sea caves to explore.
Updates to Caldera include reducing the vegetation on the island by 50%, resulting in improved visibility, and the addition of Storage Zone, the complex that previously appeared in Warzone’s original Verdansk map.
Vanguard is also getting two new multiplayer maps and a fresh Zombies map in the form of an updated version of Shi No Numa, which originally appeared in Call of Duty: World at War.
Mercenaries of Fortune will also include a Terminator crossover. Limited-time bundles releasing mid-season will let Vanguard and Warzone players become the T-800 and T-1000.
Activision recently announced that Warzone 2.0 will launch later this year, soon after Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2’s release on October 28.
Featuring “a new sandbox mode” and a “brand-new playspace”, Warzone 2.0 will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam.
The original Warzone will continue as a separate experience when Warzone 2.0 launches.
